Toyota Motor Asia Pacific Pte Ltd (TMAP) Team Building is a yearly affair to provide opportunities for employees to bond with each other. As part of its tradition, TMAP would raise awareness for a selected beneficiary, in addition to making a donation towards it. SNPC was selected as the beneficiary and TMAP committed to help to promote and strengthen the Paralympic cause. 

On 26th July 2019, TMAP invited para swimmer, Toh Wei Soong, to share his athlete’s journey to Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. One of the activities the employees participated in that day was blind football where one participant was blindfolded with the help of a guide to complete the activity. This activity allowed participants to understand how people with visual impairment play football. 

We received $10,000 as a donation and we would like to thank the TMAP employees who participated and hope it was a fun and one of a kind experience for them.

To end the day, SNPC’s Vice Chairman, Dr Teo-Koh Sock Miang talked about SNPC and its aspirations for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, including how the donation of $10,000 would go into supporting Singapore’s elite para athletes dreams.
