The contingent for the 6th ASEAN Para Games 2011 arrived safely in Solo at approximately 0930hrs (Indonesian Time).
The team was sent off from Changi Airport by Acting Minister for Ministry for Community, Youth and Sports, Mr. Chan Chun Sing early yesterday morning at Terminal 2.
The contingent of 32 athletes and 24 officials were greeted at the airport by the Chef de Mission (CDM) Mr. Ee and secretariat for contingent, Mr. Jaya at the airport in the morning.
The contingent then went through the normal procedure of checking into the accommodation and after lunch, proceeded to their venues for their classification procedures. Team Singapore had a flag raising ceremony later in the day at 5pm to mark their arrival into the Games’ Village.
