Tokyo 2020

The Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games took place from 24 August to 5 September 2021, after a year’s postponement due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A total of 4,403 athletes took part in the Games, across 22 sports.

Singapore sent a contingent of 40 people, made up of 10 athletes, 1 athlete competition partner and 29 officials. The contingent was led by Chef-de-Mission Ms Shirley Low. The athletes participated in 18 events across six sports, namely Archery, Athletics, Cycling, Equestrian, Powerlifting and Swimming.

A total of seven personal bests, five new national records and two season bests were earned. In total, Singapore achieved 13 top 10 finishes.
