Delhi 2010

The 2010 Commonwealth Games, officially known as the XIX Commonwealth Games, were held in Delhi, India from 3 to 14 October 2010. It was considered the largest Commonwealth Games to date as more sports were organized and there were more participants competing in this game.

With the Commonwealth Games being the only game allowing both abled and disabled athletes to represent Singapore as a team, Singapore sent a team of 68 athletes and 34 officials competing in 8 out of 17 sports making it the largest-ever contingent sent to the Commonwealth Games. Singapore competed in Aquatics, Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Gymnastics, Shooting, Table Tennis and Weightlifting.

Two athletes represented in para sports and they are Mr Adam Kamis (Athletics) and Mr James Leow Chen Hai (Swimming). Mr Adam Kamis finished 6th in the Men’s T46 100m race event while Mr James Leow Chen Hai finished 4th in the Men’s S9 50m Freestyle event.
