SNPC

Founded on 23 June 2008, the Singapore National Paralympic Council (SNPC) is an Institution of Public Character (IPC) that focuses on supporting and empowering Singapore’s para athletes and is responsible for fielding Singapore teams for the ASEAN Para Games, Asian Para Games, Asian Youth Para Games, Commonwealth Games and Paralympic Games. As a member of the International Paralympic Committee, the SNPC is part of a worldwide social change movement, which uses the power of sport to positively influence community perceptions of people with disabilities and to promote a more diverse and inclusive society by educating and strengthening the values of the Paralympic Movement and Paralympic aspirations in Singapore.

10th ASEAN Para Games cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic

Philippines Sports Commission (PSC) declared in a recent statement to the press that the 10th ASEAN Para Games (APG) 2020 will be cancelled in order to address the coronavirus pandemic that has swept the nation. In light of the decision from PSC, Major General Osoth Bhavilai, President of the ASEAN Para Sports Federation (APSF) regretfully confirmed the official cancellation of APG 2020 in a letter to participating National Paralympic Committees (NPCs).

Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games Postponed

Following the announcement from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee regarding the postponement of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) has reacted with a statement of their own: the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic games will also be postponed.
