Founded on 23 June 2008, the Singapore National Paralympic Council (SNPC) is an Institution of Public Character (IPC) that focuses on supporting and empowering Singapore’s para athletes and is responsible for fielding Singapore teams for the ASEAN Para Games, Asian Para Games, Asian Youth Para Games, Commonwealth Games and Paralympic Games. As a member of the International Paralympic Committee, the SNPC is part of a worldwide social change movement, which uses the power of sport to positively influence community perceptions of people with disabilities and to promote a more diverse and inclusive society by educating and strengthening the values of the Paralympic Movement and Paralympic aspirations in Singapore.

Selection Policy for Commonwealth Games Glasgow 2026

The Selection Policy and Qualification Regulations for the Commonwealth Games Glasgow 2026 are now available for reference. Eligible athletes and relevant stakeholders are advised to review the applicable criteria and Minimum Qualification Standards (MQS) for their respective sports in preparation for the Games, which will take place from 23 July to 2 August 2026.

Singapore National Paralympic Council Announces Team Singapore Contingent for the 5th Asian Youth Para Games 2025 in Dubai

Singapore will send 13 young para athletes to the 5th Asian Youth Para Games 2025 in Dubai from 7 to 14 December. Led by former Paralympian Apple Yap Qian Yin, with Yan Jia Yi as flag bearer, the team embodies resilience, pride, and the Paralympic spirit as they compete across five sports. This year’s contingent reflects Singapore’s growing pipeline of young talent, with nine debutants making their international debut on the regional stage.
