On the eve of the opening of 2014 Incheon Asian Para Games, 200 attendees attended the 2014 Inclusive Sport & Society that was held at the Incheon Songdo POSCO E&C Tower on Friday. The Forum was attended by the Special Adviser to United Nations Secretary-General on Sport for Development and Peace, Mr Wilfried Lemke, International Paralympic Committee President Philip Craven, members of National Paralympic Committees and officials from international organizations, in addition to officials in the sports circles and the government.
The Forum was an one-day event organized by the Korean Paralympic Committee, and hosted by the Inclusive Sport and Society Organizing Committee (ISSOC) and United Nations Office on Sport for Development and Peace (UNOSDP). The discussions was about integration of disabled and abled athletes, and social inclusion through sport. At the forum, Mr. Lemke emphasized the importance of inclusion for persons with disabilities in sport.
Afterwards, President of Singapore Sports Council, Dr Teo was one among the attendees who tried out Table Tennis during the forum.
