The representation of athletes with a disability at the Commonwealth Games together with the able bodied athletes was inaugrated at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester, United Kingdom. The athletes at that Games in Manchester was Theresa Goh and Wong Meng Yee.
For the 2006 Games in Melbourne, Singapore sent a total of 4 athletes for the sport of Swimming. They were Theresa Goh, James Leow, Lim Keng Joo and Liew Teck Hua. All athletes bettered their personal best timings at the Games.
In Delhi, 2010, Singapore sent 2 athletes, Adam for Athletics and James Leow for Swimming. Adam set a personal best for 100m sprint in the T46 class. James narrowly missed out on his personal best for the 50m Freestyle, coming in 6th out of 10 athletes in the final placing.
