The first ever Asian Para Games was held in Guangzhou, China from the 08th Dec 2010 to the 20th Dec 2010. Previoulsy, it was known as the Far East and South Pacific Games (FESPIC) for the disabled.
Singapore was represented by a contingent of 46 athletes and officials. We came home with 4 bronzes. 2 were from Swimming through Ms. Theresa Goh in the 50m Backstroke and 50m Freestyle for S5 class. Singapore's other 2 bronzes came in Ten Pin Bowling Doubles Events, the team of Rex and Anuar won bronze in the doubles for TPB10 & TPB8, while Thomas and Taufik clinched another bronze for doubles for TPB1 & TPB3.
There were also numerous ahtletes who came home improving their personal best times and are keenly awaiting the next edition of the Asian Para Games in Incheon, Korea in 2014. They will be looking to better their achievements in the 2014 edition.
