Congratulations to Laurentia Tan for winning the Bronze medal in Equestrian.

Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Mr Sam Tan Chin Siong visited the athletes at the Paralympic Village and wished all our athletes all the best at their respective competitions.

Over the weekend, our athletes continued to compete against strong opponents and here is a summary of our performance/results:

Equestrian
Our Equestrian team took to their stage at the Greenwich Park. Our para – equestrian Maximillian Tan scored 63.364% on the first day of competitions whilst Gemma Rose Foo and Laurentia Tan scored 68.588% and 74.235% respectively. Maximillian had also competed in the Individual Championship Test – Grade 1b, and scored 59.304%. Gemma scored 65.050% in her Grade 1a competition. Laurentia, with her wonderful performance, surpassed many others and clinched a Bronze Medal with a score of 73.650%. Over the next few days, the team will also be competing in their individual Freestyle competitions.

Sailing
In Sailing, our team, comprising Jovin and Desiree braved the winds and waters in the first three races. The points are accumulative, and will be added to their final positions. They have currently accumulated 32 points and will continue to compete in the other 10 races.

Boccia
Nurulasyiqah, our first Boccia athlete, has been training hard and is preparing for her first competition which will be held on 5th September 2012.
